On the Edge of Darkness

Ransom Kidder is a battle-tested combat veteran and homicide detective with the Austin Police Department who always nails the bad guy. But there's one bad guy who got away. The Travis Heights Slasher killed three victims ten years ago, and then vanished. Now, the killer is back and a terrified city watches as the bodies pile up. At the same time, his world is turned upside down when his daughter announces to him that she is gay. Handling two psychological crises at the same time takes its toll on the supposedly bullet-proof Detective Kidder as he finds himself in a race against time to catch a psychopath before his daughter becomes the next victim.
