If you're like a lot of us, you read the Bible looking for the parts that talk about good things God does for us. And God certainly does great things for us! But what if we risk missing the real benefit of God when we only look for the good things He can do for us? What if we risk trying to use God to advance our personal kingdom rather than surrendering our kingdom to Him? This book examines what the Gospel is really about. Hint: It's not just about me (or you!). Yes, Jesus died for our sins! But is there more to it than that? Yes!

This book examines the Gospel, beginning with the question Jesus asks us all: "Who do you say I am?" When we understand who the Bible says Jesus is, we'll better understand the Gospel and how it fits into the story of the Bible. We'll then examine what Jesus saved us from through His work on the cross. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, but what is "the sin"? We'll also examine where He saved us to. Salvation isn't stationary! This will give us a new paradigm for understanding our place in God's plan. This will prepare us for our final step. We'll examine how we can take part in fulfilling the desire of God's heart.
