Lullabies From Liberty Street

Lullabies from Liberty Street is the memoir of 1960's student activist Cecile Lusby, that tracks her experience as a 17 year old unwed mother required to give up her first child for adoption; the book follows her ever-hopeful path into adulthood in the early 1960s cosmopolitan San Francisco scene; watches her as a young wife and mother escaping domestic violence, then as a divorcée; until she evolves in Berkeley as a civil rights and anti-Vietnam War activist with friends in the Black Panther Party.
