This book is part of a series aimed at the under eleven age group. Each volume in the series looks at a particular period through the eyes of its typical characters. This book deals with the Victorians and features, among the characters, an inventor, a milliner, a gent, country folk and street sellers. There are sections on a railway station, the country, a fair, an old clothes market and the seaside.
