Grand Illusions

This stimulating book looks at one of the most attractive and exciting forms of interior decoration: mural and trompe l'oeil painting. The work of more than forty of the best contemporary artists on both sides of the Atlantic is shown to the full in the magnificent, specially commissioned photography of Tom Leighton. Most of these murals decorate private houses or buildings, and thus in Grand Illusions they are presented for the first time to all those involved in the art of the painted interior.
