Last Supper

Part of a series inspired by key events in the New Testament (see also: Annunciation, Crucifixion, and Descent), this book presents a rich collection of over 100 images of one of the most intensely dramatic episodes in the Gospels, the Last Supper. Taken from the whole tradition of Christian art, LAST SUPPER includes a wide range of media and artists: frescos, painting, drawing, icons and great masters from Duccio to Andy Warhol. The images are sequenced chronologically, from a 6th-century mosaic to a contemporary photographic interpretation, showing the true variety and evolution of Christian art.
