Flood Risk Management

Up to 5 million people in the UK are at risk from river and coastal flooding and it is a severe test to the country's arrangements and flood defence infrastructure. Significant river floods in the UK over the years have prompted changes in flood defence legislation, and encouraged a substantial programme of building flood defences, but the risks still remain significant. This book follows on from the successful ICE Learning to Live with Rivers report in presenting the complete and extensive findings from the ICE Presidential Commission.
