When a klepto former schoolmate of Shay’s steals a strangely valuable six-foot, neon-green stuffed snake, it leads to a rollicking run from trigger-happy thugs. Hightailing it from Minneapolis to New Orleans and back, Shay and her friends go from hostages in a coffin factory to bungling house burglars. A minor car wreck, a stuffed bear harboring hundred-dollarbills, and a mystery surrounding a well-respected philanthropist adds up to one big question: can Shay’s crew escape the clutches of a deadly Mexican cartel?
