Two Gospels

The New Testament reports the theological thought of two remarkable first century men. Jesus of Nazareth promoted a practical gospel of love, a way of life that inspired people to relate in an empathetic way. If Jesus' Gospel was followed all people would be social equals. This was good news to the masses. Paul of the Damascus road promoted a gospel of faith. This way of life engaged people with supernatural spiritual powers. Believers became spiritual equals. Social inequalities were of no concern. This was good news to the rich. These two gospels are fused in the New Testament and remain confused in contemporary Christianity.
