Imperfect Contrition

Continuing their vendetta, the Commissioner and his Deputy reassigned Captain Mickey Devlin from CIB, "the black hole for commanders," to a patrol district in the middle of a highly publicized corruption probe. Within the first few hours of his new command, Mickey responds to a hostage situation involving an enraged parishioner from a "cop family" and a beloved monsignor. When people die, commanders rush to judgment. Mickey suspects a cover-up and as he conducts his own "under the radar" investigation, he exposes a scandalous conspiracy involving the Mob, high ranking members of the PPD, and the Catholic Church.
