In My Shoes

It's my story. And it's from my memory only. I am sure that if you were to ask my children they might have some to add or some to take away, and maybe even some of their memories of this story might be different. I only hope they remember how much I tried to give them as normal a childhood that I could, and to make their lives as happy as I could. I would not ask them to put any of their memories into this story as when one writes these things, it really is somewhat like reliving them and I don't want that for them! In writing this story it is my hope that those reading it might even themselves be helped, or someone they know who might be going through some of these things, be helped. Even, that they might learn either how to get some help, how not to make the mistakes I did, and maybe not to be either as dumb as I was or as fearful. It is only when one has gone through these things that they may be able to know what it was like to walk as they say 'a mile in my shoes"
