The New Atheism: Ten Arguments That Don't Hold Water

The 'new' atheists are putting out books and articles like there's no tomorrow. They've gained a large slice of public attention, but do their arguments really hold water? Using the analogy put forward by the philosopher Professor Anthony Flew, Michael Poole examines whether the new atheists' assertions amount to the 'Ten-Leaky-Buckets-Tactic' of argumentation - presenting people with a sum of arguments that are each individually defective, as though the cumulative effect should be persuasive. Looking at ten of the new atheists' most frequently used arguments, Poole concludes that the buckets are, indeed leaky.
