The breaking of the Enigma machine is one of the most heroic stories of World War II, and highlights the crucial work of the Bletchley Park codebreakers which shortened the war by several years. But there was another code machine used by Hitler himself to convey messages to his top commanders in the field. More complex and secure than Enigma, it could never be broken. For 60 years no one knew about Lorenz or "Tunny," or the courageous group of men who finally broke the code.
