Healing by Hand: Manual Medicine and Bonesetting in Global Perspective

This collection of essays is devoted to the anthropology of manual medicine and bonesetting around the world. Thirteen contributions discuss such topics as massage therapy in the U.S., indigenous bonesetters in contemporary Denmark, and the place of the componedor (bodyworker) in the Andean health care system.
