Divided Dynamism presents a cogent but comprehensive review of the unification policy goals of two divided East Asian countries. Utilizing the classic case study of German unity, the book explores the diplomatic relations of South and North Korea and the People's Republic of China/ROC on Taiwan. Viewing the historical setting, the current context, and future durability of the divide in each of the different cases, the book thus explores the unique roads to national unity. It equally provides a framework of necessary and often difficult to find background data on each of the countries considered. "Divided Dynamism" relates an interdisciplinary case study particularly geared to university comparative government and international relations courses.
