Masculinities, Gender Relations, and Sport

In this anthology the editors aim to integrate study of masculinities in sport into larger feminist frameworks of sport and gender analysis by calling on 23 academics from sociology, gender studies, and sports-related disciplines to wrestle, tackle, and otherwise skirmish with such topics as women-student trainers in men's intercollegiate sports, studying sport and masculinity from a feminist stance, physicality and masculinity among first and second graders, Mexican baseball, intimacy in a boxing gym, booze and bar fights, homosexuality, and race.
