Narratives in Social Science Research

This textbook for undergraduates, graduate students, and researchers describes narrative methods for qualitative research. Czarniawska (Göteborg U.) begins with a brief historical sketch of the relationship between the humanities and social sciences and outlines some of the possible reasons for using a narrative approach. The structure of the main part of the text follows the chronology of a research project. Examples are taken from many different branches of social sciences and draw upon the author's own research.
