The Reality of Research with Children and Young People

Lewis (education, The Open University, UK) presents research papers from contributors in psychology, education, and social sciences, each followed by comments by the papers' authors illuminating their experiences during the various stages of carrying out the research. A majority of the papers are from the UK, with additional papers from countries including Japan, Bolivia, South Africa, and the US. Several papers rely on naturalistic observations, while other rely on questionnaires, interviews, and discussion groups. Three of the studies take an experimental approach.
