Communicating Health and Illness

This work introduces themes that are fundamental to an understanding of communication about health, illness, and the practice of medicine, encouraging health care providers and those involved in health promotion to respond critically to normative discourses on medical decision making, health scares, and metaphors of sickness and recovery.
