"No, she wouldn't!" I yelled. "She would have wanted us to stick together, just the two of us. We don't need any old uptown dame to interfere with our lives!"

Ever since Eddie's mother died, he and his father have tried to make an enjoyable life for themselves-they love sports, go to demolition derbies and feast on the hamburgers and french fries. But then Eddie's dad's choice of new date threatens their ideal existence...and really shocks Eddie.
