English-Russian Comprehensive Dictionary

The major consideration was to produce a modern language dictionary. But as was mentioned already above, it was considered necessary to include a comprehensive minimum of entries on business, law and sports, some of those being more specific than the others. Working on the vocabulary, the editors in their selective efforts have drawn upon the information contained in American, English and Russian dictionaries, press and commercial prose which define business, trade, and law. Some rare and even archaic words do appear in this dictionary because although they are no longer in use in modern English, they may be found in belles-letters and-even more important-in legal literature.
