Civil Works for Hydroelectric Facilities: Guidelines for Life Extension Upgrade

This report explores methodologies and techniques for applying rehabilitation engineering to aging hydroelectric infrastructure. It provides guidelines for life extension and upgrade of hydroelectric works for use by owners, operators, regulators, and engineers who are considering infrastructure rehabilitation or replacement. In addition, the report features relevant case studies that illustrate solutions for improving the performance and extending the service life of civil works of dams and hydroelectric plants.
