Asthma Management in Minority Children: Practical Insights for Clinicians, Researchers and Public Health Planners

Shares the experiences of five investigations into the development & implementation of asthma management interventions among minority children, with the goal to create model, replicable programs to reduce asthma morbidity, decrease inappropriate use of health care resources, & enhance the quality of life of African American & Hispanic children with asthma. Insights are presented on the design & evaluation of educational & management programs for asthma, strategies for recruiting patients & staff, & techniques & resources for community & professional education.
