The mishievous Little Raven is a trickster. Whenever he sees a new toy that belongs to the Rabbit or the Bear or any of his other animal friends, he has to have it. He just can't stop himself, and as a result, all the animals hide their favorite playthings. But the Little Raven is very clever and thinks up tricks that will allow him to take his friends' toys. Before long, he discovers that his mischief is causing him to lose all his friends, and even though he possesses all their toys, he is all alone and unhappy. At the end of the story, he resolves to win back his friends with generosity.
Children who read this international bestseller will understand, along with the Little Raven, that the meaning of "having it all" has to do with friendship, not possessions. Youngsters will also enjoy the amusing, brightly colored illustrations that accompany this story and will delight in finding a new detail on every page.
