My Life in the Bush of Ghosts

The Bush of Ghosts is the heart of the African forest. Here are believed to dwell innumerable strange beings, the spirits of the wild, inhuman, grotesque and terrifying. Into this dreadful jungle wanders a small boy, abandoned by his parents during tribal warfare. How he is enslaved by a disgusting ghost, undergoes many transformations and escapes from one captivity to another is told in compelling detail. Amid the repugnance and horror there is an eerie fascination, and when the young man marries he would be content to remain among the ghosts forever, were he not called home by a 'television-handed ghostess'.
