Coolfarming, Chapter 1: How Do You Turn A Cool Idea Into A Trend?

Coolfarming is a novel way to manage projects leading to disruptive innovation. Coolfarming consists of four steps. First, the creator comes up with a cool idea. Second, the creator recruits a Collaborative Innovation Network (COIN), an intrinsically motivated group of three to fifteen collaborators who turn the vision into an early product. Third, the Collaborative Learning Network serves as a sounding board, until fourth, the new product is finally adapted by the Collaborative Interest Network, a group of early end users. Two great examples of Coolfarming are the creation of the World Wide Web and the development of the Linux open source operating system.
