Absolutely Small, Chapter 1: Schrodinger's Cat

This is an introductory chapter that brings out the differences between our everyday intuition and the way that the world of tiny things, that is, atoms and molecules behave. It uses an initial illustration, a modified version of Schr?dingerAÆs Cat conundrum to show how strange things can get when we start talking about quantum theory. It is very light and intended to draw people into the more intellectually challenging material that comes later.
