As a consultant to the US Army on image quality and interpretation measurement, Leachteneauer provides advice on maintaining image quality in the selection and operation of electronic displays. After introducing the types of display technologies available, the concepts of image chain and the display as a system, he treats specifics of the operation and performance of such equipment and the human visual system.
