Christopher Marlowe and Richard Baines

Intellectual and theological freedom fighters, spies, homosexuals, and criminals were among the characters that playwright Marlowe (1564-93) and his sometime companion Baines (1556-94) moved among in the officially nonexistent religious and national ferment across northern Europe during the reign of Elizabeth, according to British playwright Kendell. He generally follows the chronology of Baines' life to illuminate aspects of Marlowe's life that have been missed by the many biographies of him. Distributed by Associated University Presses.
