Canon and the Archive: Configuring Literature in Modern Spain

In this study, Ríos-Font (Spanish, Brown U.) analyzes a number of 19th- and 20th-century texts that have tested the boundary between canonical and non-canonical literature. Drawing upon the theories of such thinkers as Stanley Fish, Barbara Hermstein, and Michel Foucault, she explores how the definition of literature has changed in more than two centuries of modernity in Spain.
