Charles Olson and Alfred North Whitehead: An Essay on Poetry

The poetics that American poet Olson (1910-70) developed, says Bram (Hebrew and comparative literature, Haifa U.) expresses a world view that was influenced first and foremost by the philosophy and cosmology of Whitehead (1861-1947). He shows how the poet combined the mythopoeia of an ancient primitive world he had found in various readings, with the philosopher's theories.
