Phosphoinositides: Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biomedical Applications

This volume summarizes current research on cellular signal transduction involving inositol phosphates and phospholipids and features contributions from some of the leading laboratories. The chapters span three key topics: the metabolism of inositol phosphates and identification of proteins that interact with polyphosphorylated phosphatidylinositols; the mechanisms and structure of phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C; and the synthesis and biological properties of analogs for phosphoinositides.
