An English translation of the 6th-century Pseudo-Nonnus Commentaries on Gregory of Nazianzus' Sermons 4, 5, 39 and 43 which were written during the 4th century. The Sermons demonstrate Gregory's concern that elements from a pagan Greek education should be preserved to serve the church. The commentaries, written in a more Christianised world, are in places confused and inelegant but are still intent on transmitting Gregory's message. The translations are accompanied by comprehensive notes.
