A maintenance philosophy should ensure a safe, functional environment by maximizing equipment maintenance, providing essential documentation, and easing management and cost by minimizing required maintenance and documentation time. This book describes procedures for a cost-effective maintenance approach that will provide the maintenance level needed under normal operational circumstances to keep equipment operating properly, safely, and economically.
