Hydropower: Recent Developments

This collection contains six papers discussing the Strontia Springs Dam and the Foothills Project. The Foothills Project is a major component in the continued efforts of the Denver Board of Water Commissions to provide adequate water service to the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area. Principal features of the project include the Foothills treatment plant, the Foothills tunnel and access road, and the Strontia Springs diversion dam. These papers provide a record of the design and construction of the principal features of the dam. The geology and geotechnical aspects, hydraulic design, and concrete quality control and quality assurance of the dam are covered.
