Noise and Vibration Measurement: Prediction and Mitigation

Proceedings of a symposium on noise and vibration at the ASCE Convention, held in Denver, Colorado, May 1-2, 1985. Sponsored by the Environmental Engineering Division of ASCE.

This collection contains 14 papers representing a comprehensive view of three major sources of noise and vibration in our environment: construction equipment and operations; transportation system operations; and stationary source operations. The papers document theoretical applications with respect to measurement, monitoring, prediction and mitigation, and provide case studies where certain techniques were employed to reduce noise and vibration for sensitive receptors.
