Pillbug Project: A Guide to Investigation

During the course of The Pillbug Project students will develop a sense of what science is all about - learning from the world around them. With the docile pillbug as their topic of inquiry, students develop observational skills by searching for pillbugs in their natural habitat, examining them, and observing their behavior. A read-aloud story is woven throughout. The Pillbug Project is an innovative approach, with concepts of cooperative learning, a variety of assessment techniques, and reproducible pages to give this volume a solid pedagogical framework.
