Excavations at Tepe Yahya, Iran, 1967-1975, Volume IV: The Iron Age Settlement

This is the fifth volume of published results from excavations carried out from 1967 to 1975 at the site of Tepe Yahya located in southeastern Iran. In it Peter Magee focuses on the Iron Age period, roughly the first millennium BC, providing details on the stratigraphic and archaeological sequences, artefactual evidence and most notably, the ceramic assemblage from the site. In analysing the Iron Age evidence, Magee discusses the phases of occupation, abandonment and re-occupation at Tepe Yahya and seeks explanations for these, set within the context of regional shifts in settlement.
