Freedom to Act is a case study about young people in a high school co-op program combining their skills to reach a common goal. This youth team creates a magazine called Wild Times, Deadly Times, with information on how to avoid alcohol and drug use. This project guide provides suggested activities, tips and ideas for supporting rural youth to address issues and problems related to alcohol and other drug use among their peers. The resources and strategies of this case study could be applied equally to rural youth service agencies and to urban secondary schools.
