Sky

This moving book, written in the haunting voice of a young child, is based on true stories told to the author by her friend Georgia Salois, a Métis whose people lived with the Blackfeet Nation in Montana. Sky focuses not only on the events of the historic flood of 1964 and its effects on Georgia and her people, but also on the poverty and discrimination that they experienced and how they found the courage to survive.
