Torture

Torture has a devastating impact on individual as well as on public health, as it causes serious damage to mental and physical health. However, research on this topic is rare, and seldom empirical. This volume brings together promising work on behavioral, neuropsychological, and stress-mediated physiological consequences of torture to approach this topic from different perspectives, with the aim of deepening insight into the understanding of consequences of torture.
