Folk Art Journey: Florence D Bartlett and the Museum of International Folk Art

Issued in tandem with an exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding by Bartlett (1881-1954) of the world's first and today's largest international folk art museum at the Museum of New Mexico in Sante Fe, this catalog features Bartlett's premier collection of textiles, jewelry, paintings, and other folk art. The museum-affiliated editors trace Bartlett's life and her view of "the art of the craftsman [as] a bond between the peoples of the world." The exhibit ran from June through February 1, 2004.
