A delightfully easy and fun approach to teaching your child to read!
This unique curriculum will take your young learner on a journey from the beginning of Creation to the Resurrection of Christ as they learn about the alphabet, sight words, simple words, biblical history, as well as letter blends and their corresponding sounds. This book offers:
- A stand-alone phonics and reading program, flexible for use in either kindergarten or first grade for one full semester
- A workbook filled with lessons, narrated instruction prompts, and suggested hands-on bonus activities for fun and additional learning
- Activities utilize materials typically found in the kitchen or playroom (e.g., crayons, markers, flour, rice, and play-dough).
OVERVIEW: throughout the course, the teacher reads the lessons and engages the student. The teacher then guides the student through the corresponding lesson worksheets and/or engages the student in suggested hands-on activities. The course has a convenient daily schedule, set up for three days a week of teaching material, and then additional activities on the "off" days to reinforce learned skills. Designed to meet the needs of students who are ready to begin writing, as well as those who may not have master the hand-eye coordination skills needed for writing, Foundations Phonics is flexible for any learning style. The course uses tracing, coloring activities, and more to help the student master the important basics to begin reading and writing!
