Major Trends in Formative Judaism

Neusner resumes a series of volumes he began in the middle 1980s with two volumes of essays he has written over the past two or three years. His main interest remains the history of religion with special reference to the formative history of Judaism and its theology and law. Within that framework, the 14 essays of the Fourth Series investigate literary analytical problems in the Rabbinic canon. He does not provide indexes or bibliographies.
