The Left Handed Evangelist. A Contribution to Palaeologan Iconography

A study of the origin and development of the left-handed Evangelist iconographic type which appeared during the late Byzantine period. Largely based on a study of illuminated manuscripts, Spatharakis also considers the influence of Evangelist portraits on mosaics and frescos.
