Eleven-year-old Rich Stillman is hustling at Frog's Pool Hall when he's discovered by gambler and "steering man," Castle Frazer. Castle knows he's found the perfect turn-out. Under Castle's tutelage, Rich graduates from a small-time take-off artist to a high-stakes poker and gin player with an uncanny talent for getting the money.
