This book offers a portrait of cattle detective Tom Horn, describes his activities terrorizing rustlers and homesteaders, and considers the evidence in the case that led to his eventual conviction for murder. In it, Carlson (who has written two other books on the Horn case) identifies his prime suspect in the murder of Willie Nickel. Black and white photographs are included.
