Belize

This book about the newest Central American nation begins with a description of a trip to Belize. Then a chapter is devoted to each of the three outstanding features of the country-Reefs, Rain Forests, and Mayan Ruins. The chapter on the Mayans is more a history of the Mayan culture than simply a review of the Mayan ruins This chapter is very complete and is almost a book in itself. After a brief discussion of the history of tourism in Belize, the book continues with a history of the country and finishes with a chapter on today's Belize.
