Hedy Laureanu was born in Romania and watched Communist soldiers battle state forces from the living room of her home, and later saw her father sent to prison under the Communist regime, where he later died. She emigrated to America with her mother after travels throughout Europe, finally settling in Los Angeles. She now looks back on a life filled with adventure and inner struggles to find out her true calling.
