He was a founding member of the Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside, California, and wrote “Tending the Soul” shortly before his death in 2002. He spent much of his life providing spiritual direction and vocational counseling to individuals and groups, as well as leading retreats.
By reflecting on Jesus' invitations to his followers and to us, Father Luke shows us what we might discover about sharing our life’s story, undergoing conversion, identifying our gifts, praying, and developing a friendship with Jesus. The process also includes seeking answers to the meaning of “family,” surrendering our will to God, struggling, finding balance in our lives and envisioning the future.
